Went for lunch and the food and service were outstanding. The waitress was very attentive. We asked for extra sour cream for our potato pancakes she gladly brought us a plateful at no additional charge! Very clean big and bright a very nice atmosphere !

This restaurant is related to Two Sisters that closed in Rochester Hills,MI. Ive never had a bad meal the top favorites are the city chicken (melts in your mouth) and I swear I have NEVER liked liver but their chicken livers are exquisite! Very good sauerkraut and homemade mashed potatoes not boxed. Yummmm

I think their cabbage rolls/golumpki's are as good as anything you will find in Hamtrack, and are absolutely delicious, and worth buying extra ones to take home at $3 a piece. For special occasions, I will order a dozen or more to take out for our holiday celebrations. The owner Linda is the daughter to one of the owners from the 'Two Sisters Restaurant' in Rochester Michigan which has closed.

Holy wow! I used to come here when it was an Indian restaurant, they painted and made the place much more enjoyable to be at... And we weren't the only people in there!!!! My husband and I couldn't decide what we wanted so we both got the lakeside plate. It had a choice of 3 perogies, stuffed cabbage, city chicken, fresh or smoked kielbasa, mashed potToes and sauerkraut. Boy it was good! I was not a big fan of the city chicken tho... But you could tell that everything was home made. I also got the dill pickle soup, which I have never heard of before. It was interesting. It wasn't dilly or pickly like I expected. It was pretty good. I did get to snag a bite of my husbands chicken and dumpling soup - yum! I would recommend the smoked kielbasa and cheese perogies for sure. Overall I'm pretty excited that this place is just down the road from us. I'm eager to try the goulash! :) on top of everything the staff was great.

This Polish food is wonderful. Brings back a lot of memories. I had the Polish Combo plate, which included kielbasa( fresh or smoked), kraut, city chicken or stuffed cabbage and 3 pierogi. Everything was great. I opted for the fresh kielbasa, very tasty. This is the first polish restaurant I have seen that gives you a choice, it seems it's always smoked. The city chicken was very tender and delicious. I wish I could make it that good, I have tried! Al this for only $8.99! Service was fast and efficient. If you want authentic Polish food, try this place. It's the best I've had since Grandma made it!

Authentic, delicious Polish food at a incredibly reasonable price! The city chicken was so tender and tasty. It is served with a gravy which I opted out. I substituted kraut for the mashed potatoes. Also had a stuffed cabbage which was served with a nice tomato sauce. It was stuffed with a very tasty rice and ground beef mixture. Best Polish food in Macomb County.

First time at this restaurant. Tried the Polish plate, 3 different fried perogis (cheese, spinach & cheese, potato & cheese), fresh and smoked kielbasa, stuffed cabbage and saur kraut. The perogis were delicious and fried perfectly. The fresh kielbasa was bland, as was the stuffed cabbage. The place is attractive and the wait staff very pleasant.

Stopped by for lunch. Excellent.. Breakfast didn't look like much, very ordinary. But the polish food was great.. Had the Polish platter as well.. Very traditional old school polish food:. Pierogi's were pan fried, not deep fried like the other post would entail.. The stuffed cabbage had plenty of flavor and the sauce it was cooked in was on the plate, so their was a sauce type element. Fork tender through the cabbage. Smoke kielbasa was a treat as well.. My cousin enjoyed the Hungarian goulash.. Which he said was very good.. He referred to it as a pork stew.. Very tender pork. I'll be back, fo sho!

My mom and I came here for an early dinner and were surprised by how good the food was. Mom had the pierogi which were amazing and definitely homemade. Ma had the dill pickle soup as well and thought it was very good. I had the grilled chicken pita with onion rings and it was great. The chicken was seasoned well and ingredients were fresh. Onion rings were good too. Hope this place keeps up the quality of food, we will be back!

I went with three women who are all familiar with Polish food. We tried 4 different soups and all were homemade and tasty. The pierogi were good and the light rye bread just exactly what you used to have to go to Utica Heights Bakery to get. I am taking my husband next week. He loves this food and since I won't cook it he will become a regular for sure.

Don't waste your money on another Polish place that will never meet your expectations of Gramdma's home cooking. Got the Polish sampler not to bad on price for portions but the quality was horrible. Pierogies were deep fried and not pan fried Mashed potatoes were either instant or made like cement. Pierogies were filled with same horrible ingredients that came on my plate including the kraut. City chicken was mostly mush but was probably the best dish in the platter. The most redeeming quality was the fresh kielbasa, not all polish places have the fresh.

Despite the two star rating the food is decent. The was our second visit. The Goulash was tasty, the Salisbury Steak was too salty. The Dill Pickle Soup would not pass in Grandma's house. I would recommend the Stuffed Cabbage, Goulash, Pierogi, and City Chicken. The mashed potatoes appear to be real, but the vegetables are canned. There was a good crowd on Saturday evening. They appear to appeal to the older folks.

So good! Taste so much better then the X wife's frozen dinners. If I would have found this place sooner she would have been an X sooner.

A nice try I suppose.... We've been desperately searching for good polish food outside of Hamtramk. We got a good tip on this place and took the entire family for mothers day, we're all polish. I tried the polish combo I believe it was called, 1 galabki (stuffed cabbage), sausage and kraut, perogi, city chicken and mashed potatoes. The galabki was very bland, they need tomato sauce on it. The fresh kielbasa was decent, again a teeny bit bland. The kraut was OK, I think they cooked it in too much water, wasn't very sour. The city chicken was decent (it was served with what appeared to be an entire ladle of gravy on it which soaked into everything on my plate) and the mashed potatoes were good. One thing I cannot stand is the way these "polish" restaurants is deep fry their perogi. It's not a donut an elephant ear nor an onion ring. Fry it on a pan lightly, that's all. The service was excellent, no complaints there at all. Drinks were refilled as needed and the waitress (Madonna) was very friendly. We had a group of 8 polacks and between all of us we ate pretty much everything polish they offered. None of us were impressed with the food. I may come again but only for the kielbasa and kraut.

Loved it. First time here. I saw the sign, Polish American restaurant. Just on the perimeter of the Lakeside mall. Had the polish combo, 3 Perogis , city chicken, fresh sausage (not smoked) with sauerkraut. Added small chicken dumpling soup for $0.89 and iced tea. Total $11.67. Food tasted similar to me, turned out the owner is the daughter of one of the 2 Sisters restaurant that had closed after 24 years in Rochester due to sisters illness and the downtown construction. Food was very good, I will definitely return. City chicken is all pork not the traditional pork & veal, but tender and flavorful. Perogis were pan fried. Room Aesthetics could be warmer, but I think they will add over time since it is relatively new at this location. I suggest you try it at least once. Then judge.

Let me start off by saying, I am not a picky eater. Also, grew up in Polish family. I ate the following (if I recall correctly): Kielbasa with sauerkraut, city chicken, assortment of pierogi, potato pancake, dill pickle soup. 1. Potato pancakes were the BLANDEST I have ever eaten. I have never had such bad ones. 2. Pierogi--- not cooked good. Also, either get a better supplier or fire whoever makes these. Not good. 3. Kielbasa was the only thing that was pretty good. But, the sauerkraut tasted old? How is that possible?! 4. City chicken..uninspiring. This was like cafeteria food. Not expecting home cooked Polish food.. but this is NOT Polish food. At the end of the day, staff was mediocre, setting was mediocre. I would LOVE to have a great Polish restaurant in area. I can't believe how good of reviews this place has for how horrible our experience was.

I only get pierogi from this restaurant, so I can't give a review about anything else. Clean place and friendly service. Potato pierogi are pretty good.

Heard about it from a coworker and the location is very convenient. Walked in and was overwhelmed at the huge open floor plan, then I remembered "Oh Yea it used to be that Indian restaurant & Salvatore Scallopini's A sweet gal sat us immediately with water/menus. The prices were par with the poletown places, not jacked up like Marcus at 25/Vandyke. I ordered the combo for $8 it included Stuffed cabbage, 3 perogi's sausage & kraut . I wanted a bowl of dill pickle soup & it was only an .89 up charge, not bad. The stuffed cabbage was very good with meat/rice/cabbage & a hint of tomato sauce. Perogis , you choose from several flavors & boiled or pan fried I chose 3 pan fried 1 spinach 1 farmers cheese 1 kraut, they were huge & fried to perfection. Sausage you choose fresh or smoked I chose smoked & the casing had that snap & the 4 hunks were just enough. The bride had the sampler, which was a fruit filled crepe, 3 perogis & a potato pancake for $7 Also noteworthy was the fresh brewed iced tea, fresh & plenty of refills!

Had a wonderful breakfast here today! It was the Polish omelette with smoked kielbasa. 100% best omelette I've ever had. We also really enjoyed our server, Shelly. We will definitely be going back.

My first time here and my 6 perogies were excellent , my waitress let me get 2 different kinds ( meat & potatoes-cheese ) - I think this place is related to TWO SISTERS restaurant in Rochester - both Polish food places . My waitress never came back and refilled my water , but that's okay - i took care of her anyways , I'll still come back because Polish food is on my list of top 5 food choices . They should've put booths on the sides of the interior along with some better decor - I mean ideas are out there to make it better , just increase the prices a little on the menu , people will still come !!!!

I am far from being a Pole. So take my review for what it's worth. Man, I like this place. After rotating through the usual Indian, Middle East, Asian, American, etc. foods - my wife and I crave something plain, bland, yet hearty and tasty. Big portions for the price, without compromise on quality. They've got burgers and breakfast too, but the real deal Polish dinners are their forte. As a meat eating Indian guy I must say, this place is such a nice escape to simple, bland in a good way, Polish food. I got the Lakeside Combo - comes with a choice of soup and enough food to package half of it for later all for $12. Great value. I chose the cabbage soup and it was on point. Hearty and sour. I was going to get the dill pickle soup, but the friendly, helpful waitress warned me that it has a lot of potatoes in it and not everyone likes that. Glad she told me. My wife and & loved the pierogies, Our favorite is the potato cheese. But honestly, all of them are good. I liked it a lot pan fried versus boiled, though it is greasier. Boiled would probably reheat at home better, so finish the fried ones at the restaurant if you can. The pierogies dip into the sour cream for a heavenly taste. The stuffed cabbage was good. Sauerkraut is nicely pickled and sour - on point! Mashed potatoes and gravy were quite basic actually, similar to from a school cafeteria, but for some reason it went well with the meal that way. For my choice of sausage I got one piece smoked and one piece fresh kielbasa. Smoked is of course tastier and has that nice snap to it. But the fresh was also nice and juicy, I wanted to try it since not many restaurants or even grocery stores for that matter carry fresh kielbasa. Overall, there are many great options here. Next time I may try the schnitzel dinner. The inside of the restaurant is very plain and basic, but th e meal has a real homecooked Polish taste and quality. I would go as far as saying this place is in the top 3 list Polish diners outside of Hamtramck. Heard there are a couple great places towards the Dequindre side of Sterling Heights as well. I give this place two thumbs up!

Wife is 100% Polish, so when I heard about this place, we had to try it. Granted we are spoiled from going to Hamtramck for 15+ years, but Lakeside didn't disapppint. Don't expect the great ambiance of Polish Village, but you also won't get the cranky waitresses. The place is big and plain, but who cares, we came here to eat. Pierogis are home made, potato pancakes are made proper, dill pickle soup was spot on, the goulash was amazing. My wife didn't care much for the city chicken, but you can't win them all. The smoked sausage was phenomenal as well. Nice to have a place like this close to home, so if we can't make it to Hamtown for our Polish food fix, we know this place will fill the void.

Formerly Two Sisters in Rochester. Great Polish food. The chicken dumpling soup is my idea of heaven. Service is good. Clean but utilitarian decor. Can get crowded.
